phpBB updated

Post by watch » 30 Oct 2015, 22:31

The sites forum software (phpBB) has been updated to the newest version (3.0.14 -> 3.1.6). Mostly to ensure we are up to date with security fixes. I'm looking at getting a SSL certificate so we can server pages with https too.

The update is not compatible with any previous themes and tweaks so I've taken the opportunity to totally recreate the theme using template inheritance https://www.phpbb.com/styles/create/#a-inheritance which makes it easier to maintain and update in the long run.

The previous theme had some bugs and this ones still has a few areas that are still inheriting the default styling which I hope to fix in the next week or so.

EDIT: Working on the images now. Some may be missing until I alter them

Good job! I don't see the box with the server map/players in realtime. That was useful.

Also, can you unlock the chilling place section?

Somehow the permission is not set right for the registered users. So I've copied the permissions from Images & screenshots forum.

Cheers crate.

Additionally there seems to be an issue with the mail feature on the webhost so any emails are not being sent out. Working to resolve

EDIT: Resolved
